Northern Telecom Inc has introduced a new line of phones to its Meridian digital product line in the US with the introduction of six new sets with modular options for use with Meridian SL-1 and SL-100 PABXs. The new telephone sets offer six to 60 keys for lines and features, add-on displays for improved call coverage and data adaptors for voice and data communications. Prices for the new telephone sets range from $100 to $700. The Canadian company also has expanded capacity and new features for its Meridian Mail voice processing systems for its Meridian SL-1 PABX. Northern Telecom claims the new capabilities increase the port capacity of Meridian Mail Optition models by four times, and storage hours for these models by 10 times. Expanded capacity Meridian Mail Option and Release 5 Meridian Mail software will be available in the fourth quarter of this year. Prices for Meridian Mail Option start at $21,000.
