Telecommunications equipment supplier Northern Telecom Ltd is selling its telecoms connectors business to Framatome Connectors Inc, in a move to move Nortel out of components manufacture. The deal is worth around $100m, and Framatome is to take on 200 Nortel employees, and take over Nortel’s Lachine and Charlottetown facilities.
