NORBAIN IN UKP3.5m DEAL TO SELL MICRO ARM TO SOFTWARE LTD

The market has been convinced for weeks that something was up at Norbain Electronics Plc, Reading (CI No 982), and late Friday, the news came through that it had agreed to sell its Norbain Micro unit, selling Epson, Amstrad, Dataproducts, Diconix and Zenith micros and printers to dealers, and its Norbain Data reseller of big Hitachi and Fujitsu printers, to City of London based Software Ltd for UKP3.5m cash. Norbain also reported that it did just UKP10,000 pre-tax on UKP24.6m sales for the year to April.
