Nomura Research Institute has signed the first international customer – Drexel Burnham Lambert in New York – for its I-Star international securities system: Nomura has been selling its Japanese Star-II system to local securities firms, but will expand it to the full I-Star international system from April 1; it is targeting all the big Wall Street names – First Boston, Shearson Lehman, General Electric’s Kidder Peabody & Co among them.
