NOKIA TELECOMUNICATIONS WINS POLISH NMT CONTRACT

The Nokia Telecommunications arm of Nokia Oy has has won a $22m order from Polish operator Centertel to extend the Polish NMT 450 cellular telephone network: the contract is for new generation base stations specially developed for operators in Central and Eastern Europe, and a service contract running to 1999; Centertel Ltd Co is a joint venture between Telekomunikacja Polska SA, Ameritech Corp and France Telecom.
