Nokia is outsourcing components of the following R&D lines: next-generation voice and multimedia; media gateway; mobile Internet connections; and consumer and business VoIP. IBM also plans to use this new capacity to extend its telecom R&D offerings on the market.
The transaction is expected to close by the beginning of December.
