Nokia has extended its TD-SCDMA portfolio with the launch of two new mobile devices, Nokia X5 and C5, customised for telecom operator China Mobile. The new devices will include the first joint mobile application store, the Mobile Market-Ovi Store.

The company said that the two devices have preloaded applications such as CMCC Music, Mobile Video, Fetion IM, and the Mobile Market-Ovi Store; and enables users to connect to the internet through China Mobiles high-speed 3G (TD-SCDMA) network as well as enjoy.

Nokia said that X5 is its first TD-SCDMA Symbian based entertainment device, which includes a music key and access to CMCC music. It features a 2.4 inches QVGA 16M colour TFT display, 5.0-megapixel camera, dual LED flash and video recording functions. In addition, it offers direct access to MM-Ovi Store, mobile video, Fetion IM, and Mobile Map.

The new Nokia C5 comes pre-loaded with Fetion and 139 mailbox, and offers access to all services and applications on MM-Ovi Store. It features 2.4 inches QVGA 16M colour TFT display, 5.0 megapixel camera and comes in two colour schemes – silver and black.

The Nokia X5 is expected to be available in China during the second quarter of 2010 while Nokia C5 is expected to be available in China during the third quarter of 2010.
