Nokia and The Weather Channel offer text update service in the US

Nokia has teamed up with The Weather Channel to enable US mobile users to receive airport weather forecasts and average airport departure delays through their mobile phones. Mobile users can opt to receive updates by logging on to the channel's website, weather.com

The service has been designed for frequent business and leisure travelers. They will be able to receive text alerts that contain customized weather information for airports in over 100 cities in the US.

Under the deal, Nokia will sponsor the airport delay information in The Weather Channel cable network and the Daily Traveler service on weather.com.
