Nokia has reported a net sales of €10.4bn in the first quarter 2011, up by 9% as compared with €9.5bn in the same quarter prior year.
The company registered devices and services net sales of €7.1bn in Q1 2011, up 6% year-on-year and down 17% sequentially.
The total mobile device volume were 108.5 million units in Q1 2011, up 1% year-on-year and down 12% sequentially.
The company has registered a drop in operating profit to €704m in the first quarter of 2011, as compared with €820m in the same quarter last year.
The company said, operating margin for the first quarter of 2011 was 6.8%, compared to 8.6% in the same quarter previous year.
Nokia CEO Stephen Elop said the company shifted from defining their strategy to executing it in the first quarter.
"On this front, I am pleased to report that we signed our definitive agreement with Microsoft and already our product design and engineering work is well under way," Elop said.
Nokia said that it expects Devices and Services net sales to be between €6.1bn and €6.6bn in the second quarter 2011.
