Apple Computer Inc has a wonderful series of multimedia instructional compact disks – the one that tells you how to integrate the Mac into IBM Corp environments is called the Blue CD – and Apple is somewhat blue about it: load the disk into your multimedia player and up come all the lovely graphics and text, but out of the speakers nary a squeak; when Apple settled its copyright infringement suit with the Beatles’ Apple Corps Ltd, whose only activity these days seems to be the entirely negative one of pursuing Apple Computer, it agreed that it would not associate the Apple name with anything connected with either entertainment or music, so it comes as no surprise that the theme song of Apple’s – as yet, sad to say, only mythical in-house band – Granny Smith & the Pippins – is We hate you, yeah yeah yeah.
