NO MS-DOS 5.0 ON ZENITH 386

By CBR Staff Writer

Zenith Data Systems was promising to show off the multi-tasking 5.0 release of MS-DOS when it launched its 80386-based machine at Which Computer? – but no-one may announce – or demonstrate – it before IBM does, and so no show. Word is that IBM will announce it on its planned new 80286 box within about a month. The 16MHz Zenith 386 box has three 32-, two 16- and one 8-bit slots, and is UKP5,100 with 1Mb CPU, 12Mb floppy and 40Mb disk, from April.
