Bearings maker Minebea Co’s NMB Semiconductor Corp in Chiba, is ready with the world’s fastest one megabit dynamic RAM, with an access time as fast as 60nS: NMB reckons there is big demand for such a part from major US companies from Sun Microsystems to IBM itself, and it will start supplying samples at the end of the year with volume next year, with target production rate of 1m of the parts a month.
