NKK TO MARKET COMPUTER-AIDED ENFGINEERING SOFTWARE

By CBR Staff Writer

Diversifying steelmaker NKK Corp has begun marketing computer aided engineering software following a tie-up with the Caeco Japan, a subsidiary of Caeco Inc of Santa Clara, California: the two firms have also agreed on technical co-operation in jointly developing next-generation computer-aided design and engineering systems for semiconductor development, and tie-up is part of NKK’s full-blooded entry into the electric and electronic circuit design field, which it wants to make a major thrust of its new electronics division; Caeco’s proprietary products include schematic, layout, layout synthesis and blocks for LSI and VLSI chip design, as well as application links for system integration.
