NISSAN ORDER ANOTHER CRAY SUPERCOMPUTER

Nissan Motor Co Ltd has ordered another supercomputer from Cray Research Inc, this time a Cray Y-MP8/664, to replace its X-MP/432, at a cost of about $22m: the machine will be used for research and development aimed at improving vehicle safety and resolving global environmental issues and also to design and engineer new vehicles with more attractive attributes.
