In the merger between the Nippon Univac and Burroughs KK companies in Japan, it appears that Unisys Corp will first sell 50% of Burroughs KK to 34.2% shareholder in Nippon Univac, Mitsui & Co, and then in April, Nippon Univac, only 34.2%-owned by Unisys Corp, will take over Burroughs KK to form Nippon Unsys Corp, exchanging one of its won shares for every 6.06 Burroughs KK shares outstanding: a public offering of Nippon Unisys shares would follow later, with Mitsui and Unisys each holding about 34%, Oki Electric 2.53%, Mitsubishi Electric, 2.51% and Mitsui Bank, 4%, retaining their stakes, the rest being widely held and traded on the Tokyo stock exchange.
