Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Corp is planning another round of significant price reductions for all its services, including dial-up services, leased lines, pagers and the charges for additional function: the total rate cut will work out at about $1,000m, with long-distance domestic services being cut 15%, while 64Kbps digital leased line rentals will go down by 26%; in pagers, where the company has around 75% of a duopoly, tone only pagers will rent for $15.50 a month, down from $17.60, and display pagers will cost $18.30 a month, down from $20.42; the reductions are expected to be brought into force in March.
