Nippon Steel Co has begun manufacturing and marketing its industrial microcomputers, such as MC1000 for production process control at $212,000, the PC1500 machine tool controller at $118,000, and the IT01 real-time monitoring terminal at $15,717: the diversifying steel giant is hoping for $16m sales in the first year, rising to $80m in the fifth year.
