Nippon DEC has won an enthusiastic response to its partnership programme announced in February at the launch of the MicroVAX 2000 and the VAXstation 2000: two types of partnership are on offer – assistance with software development, mainly for software houses wanting to migrate their software upwards from MS-DOS who get development machines cut price; and software sales and support assistance, initially through the publication of a software catalogue; about 130 software houses have so far applied to be partners with DEC.
