Nintendo Co Ltd and Blue Planet Software Inc have teamed up to develop and publish new Tetris products, the first being a 3D version of the enormously popular electronic puzzle game for the N64 video games console. Tetris, originally created by Alexey Pajitnov in 1986, has sold over 45 million copies worldwide since its inception, making it one of the best selling video games ever. San Francisco-based Blue Planet, the acting agent for the Tetris company, will undertake all the game design and production, while Kyoto, Japan-based Nintendo will act as worldwide distributor for the product range.
