Sales of video games and players are not going to increase at an exponential rate indefinitely, and Nintendo Co has to start thinking about building itself a broader base: it is considering investing in Tokyo-based Satellite Digital Audio Broadcasting Co, which offers radio and facsimile information services but is labouring under a $40m debt burden; Nintendo will submit a restructuring plan to the company and will contribute if the plan is accepted; it declines to say what its interest in the business might be, and it insists that it is not thinking in terms of satellite delivery of its video games.
