Nikon Corp and Fuji Photo Film Co have jointly developed what is claimed to be the first single-lens reflex digital electronic still camera; it stores images in a high-speed memory card so that users can store and process images taken by the camera on a personal computer. The two have previously separately developed digital cameras, but collaborated on the single-lens reflex, where what you see in the viewfinder really is what you get, because they couldn’t afford to do it alone. Users can attach any F-mount Nikon lenses they already have to the new camera, which is aimed at press photogra phers, the medical profess ion, fashion industry and publishing business; there was no indication of price.
