NIKKEI SANGYOO SURVEY ON REACTIONS TO ‘SHIN-DEN-DEN’

The Nikkei Sangyoo newspaper surveyed 1,000 of its business subscribers to guage reaction to the start of operations by the Shin-den-den, the new domestic telecommunications operators and while only 2% had actually be-come users, 18.1% were planning to subscribe in the near future, and 62.3% were watching with interest but had not yet decided: of those who had or were planning ot subscribe, 33.6% said they would subscribe to Daini- Denden only, while 22.1% said they would subscribe to all three services – it cost only 2,000 yen – $14 or so – enabling savings to be made to a wider selection of cities.
