Nighthawk receives order for remote control boards from Quixote Transportation

Nighthawk Systems, a US-based provider of wireless and IP-based control devices and solutions, has received an order for 75 of its PT1000 remote control boards from Quixote Transportation Technologies, which sells highway advisory radio systems under the Highway Information Systems brand.

By CBR Staff Writer

According to Nighthawk, its PT1000 control board has been used in highway information systems (HIS) for over five years to meet the needs of departments of transportation and emergency service providers around the US. The company said that the PT1000 control board can be integrated into any OEM equipment or industrial remote control system and can control up to eight relays as well as send text messages directly through the RS 232 port to printers and digital signs.

H Douglas Saathoff, CEO of Nighthawk, said: We’re happy to continue our affiliation with the Highway Information Systems brand. The PT1000 is one of our core products that has proven to be reliable in mission-critical applications for many years, and that is why we continue to generate a large percentage of repeat business with existing customers every year.
