The integration of Visionics’ FaceIt technology with the NiceVision platform surpasses other systems available today by providing data management and facial recognition analysis that goes beyond simply real-time matching of faces to a database. This integration will include the ability to perform face recognition on demand, based on analysis of high resolution digital video images and data received from third party security applications for prompt identification of suspects and response to potential threats.

Users will have the ability to combine unusual patterns of behavior (such as unauthorized access to secure areas) with the location of subjects under surveillance. Subjects can be repeatedly identified as they move about the security environment. For example, passengers can be automatically verified as they proceed through the airport from the parking lot to the gate.

We are extremely pleased to announce this important alliance between NICE Systems and Visionics. It extends the NiceVision video content analysis architecture, which is very synergetic with the FaceIt technology. The integration of these top technologies is an important first step to the wider alliance between our two companies, said Avishai Elazar, NICE Systems’ Corporate VP and general manager of the VIM (Visual Interaction Management) division.

Dr. Joseph J. Atick, chairman and CEO of Visionics stated, As we respond to the increased demand for security applications from airports, transportation centers, car parks, stadiums, and other facilities we continually seek to partner with best of breed companies – such as NICE — to deliver total solutions. This relationship with NICE enables us to deliver FaceIt on a proven platform and to leverage NICE’s worldwide network of partners and distributors to increase our global presence.
