Phase one of AWP’s implementation is now underway in two of its mental health units; West Wiltshire Specialist Drug & Alcohol Service and North Somerset.

John Golding, drug & alcohol area manager, for the group, said, AWP welcomes this system as previously we had no computerized method of entering, managing or printing client prescription data. The reporting and analysis of our prescribing data should allow the trust to make more collective decisions regarding patient care and to implement best practice across our prescribing area.

Graham Lewis, CEO of Ascribe, also explained, Our solution can be integrated with local Patient Administration Systems (PAS), and is compliant with the Government’s ‘Connecting for Health’ interoperability and messaging standards.
