The US was still playing hardball at the World Trade Organization telecommunications talks in Geneva on Friday as the European Union urged US negotiators to sign the deal on the table. I would certainly urge the Americans to live up to their rhetoric and sign up to an accord, UK Minister for Science & Technology Ian Taylor told a news briefing. The US still insisted that better offers were still needed from other countries.
