Oracle Corp says it has awarded well over $350m of software and services to US colleges and universities through the Oracle Academic Alliance Program, among them Carnegie Mellon University, Columbia University, Johns Hopkins University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Temple University, University of California at Los Angeles, University of Hawaii, University of Maryland University College, University of Pittsburgh, University System of Georgia, University of Texas, and Wright State University. For a $500 annual license fee per department, the program is open to all US educational institutions listed in the US Higher Education Publications Inc Directory and grants each department a one year license including software, documentation, updates and Bronze Support for any Oracle product on any computer, with any number of users.
