Microsoft Corp says that over 100 independent software vendors working in 23 different industries have announced plans to integrate Visual Basic for Applications into future versions of their products, and that the scripting language, included within Microsoft Office 97 and Microsoft’s Visual Basic programming system, is now used by over 3 million developers worldwide. The VBA licensing program was launched in June 1996 with eight licensors. The 100 vendors represent over 200 applications.
