NEWS IN BRIEF: MICROSOFT INTELLIMOUSE

By CBR Staff Writer

Microsoft Corp has come up with a better mouse for web work, which will presumably have the world beating a path to its door, even if it does cost $90 and the software for it seems to be collecting more error reports on the Web than anything else. The IntelliMouse adds a small wheel between the two buttons so that by rolling the wheel – but only with compatible Microsoft software such as Explorer or Office 97, the cursor scrolls up or down a page without the mouse being moved. Pressing down on the wheel causes a double-headed arrow to be displayed, meaning that another roll of the wheel will start continuous scrolling with speed adjustible.
