Good to see that there are a few insiders who will admit that the investing public has been taken for a ride by those pushing Internet stocks. Dan Gillmor, San Jose Mercury News Computing Editor relates that at a lunch with a lawyer who helps take companies public. The lawyer apparently pointed at a chair in the restaurant waiting area and said We could take that chair public today if we called it an ‘Internet chair’.
