Despite the BBC leading most of its news bulletins with a story that LG International Co Ltd had chosen a Newport location for its 1bn British pound chip plant, the UK Department of Trade & Industry said no location had been chosen by the company yet.
Rodime Plc says a recent US Supreme Court decision indicates that there is no prospect of an earlier patent decision against it being overturned. As a result of the decision, and a US court of appeals reaffirming an earlier court decision that would render all Rodime’s claims against Quantum Corp being ruled invalid, a very significant portion of Rodime’s disk drive revenues would not be covered by remaining patent claims.
