NEC Corp is to start sampling 64M-bit synchronous memory chips at $467 from next month, with volume production the following quarter.

Software AG is expecting a 60% jump in revenues from its Philippines unit: last year revenues were up 84% on 1993 at $1.03m, but net income figures were not disclosed.

Intel Corp’s sweetened plan to build a $1,600m chip manufacturing plant has now been given approval by the Israeli Investment Center.

Microsoft Corp’s long-term earnings outlook is clouded by concerns that corporate buyers may take their time adopting the next release of Windows NT 4.0, due out later this year, one analyst is suggesting.

Microsoft Corp says the Microsoft Network, has enrolled more than 1m members in its first seven months.

Ameritech Corp and BellSouth Corp’s Cellular Corp have chosen Wichita, Kansas-based Brite Voice Systems Inc’s system to provide speech-activated dialling systems. This brings to 18 the number of top 25 US markets now offering the system to subscribers, Brite Voice claims.
