L M Ericsson Telefon AB won an additional contract to further expand the Groupe Speciale Mobile phone network in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. The order included base station equipment for better cove-rage for the mobile phone network.
Hyundai Electronics Industries Co Ltd won a contract from TeeComm Electronics Inc to export 1m satellite television receivers to the Canadian over the next three years.
Bezeq Israel Telecom Ltd says it is considering taking part in the tender for cellular service in Brazil, perhaps in partnership with Motorola Inc. Brazil plans to issue an international tender for the second mobile communications operator in each of seven of its states. Bezeq is considering making a bid in two.
L M Ericsson Telefon AB has received a contract from telephone operator Etisalat to expand the digital cellular network in Dubai, one of the seven states forming the United Arab Emirates. The order includes base-stations to expand and improve the existing network’s coverage, the Swedish company said.
