National Semiconductor Corp has announced the appointment of Brian Halla as chief executive officer. Halla was formerly executive vice president at LSI Logic Corp and replaces Gilbert Amelio who left the company in February to head Apple Computer Inc.
MCI Communications Corp subsidiary, SHL Systemhouse Inc has acquired Blue Bell, Pennsylvania-based computer process management company, Seca Inc. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Hewlett Packard Company’s Computer Systems Organization (CSO) has created three new business units to add to its two existing functional groups. The company says the reorganization will allow it to channel demand for Intel- based business products to HP resellers.
