Newcastle United transfers IT network to Onyx Group

News: Partnership covers support services and network monitoring.

By Alexander Sword

Newcastle United Football Club is launching a new project to enhance its IT infrastructure with Onyx Group.

To guarantee maximum availability and uninterrupted connectivity for media professionals and staff on match-days, Onyx Group has built the club a resilient network with no single point of failure.

Onyx Group has also provided Newcastle United with the Onetouch support service, which provides full-time monitoring and management of the network and desktop estate.

This will allow Onyx Group to rectify incidents before a service disruption can occur.

The project aims to keep up with the increasing demands of sales and customer interaction via the website.

Daniel Bailey, Head of IT at Newcastle United, said: "As the club continues to grow on and off the field it is vital that we have an IT strategy in place that enables us to maintain the excellent levels of service that we expect at the club."
