NEW YORK VIRTUAL SKYRIDE FOR EMPIRE STATE BUIDING

By CBR Staff Writer

NY Skyride sees its debut this autumn as the only motion simulation entertainment experience in New York City: it is in the Empire State Building. The multimillion dollar NY Skyride combines simulation technology and motion picture projection that takes the audience on a high-speed ride through the Manhattan skyscape, complete with close-ups of the sights and street life of the most fascinating city in the world, it says here. It uses virtual reality flight technology to create the experience of high speed acceleration, zero gravity and freefalls. The ride lets you blast through the Manhattan skyline, feel the heat of the Statue of Liberty’s torch and more. The two-storey high motion picture screens with surrounding digital audio system are housed inside the skycopter set providing the virtual environment. The Empire State Building serves as the landing pad for NY Skyride.
