Network integration company Chernikeef Telecommunications Ltd, London is to offer a high-bandwidth shared leased line service between the UK and the US, following an agreement with ANS CO+RE Systems Inc. The new service, CNS, will give users access to a high-speed virtual private data network connecting customer sites in the UK, US and Canada, via the 45Mbps ANSnet which supports the NSFnet backbone service. It gives existing leased line customers new options such as lower-cost additional bandwidth; back-up on failure of existing facilities; outsourcing of network provision and end-to-end network management; and creation of their own virtual private data network. ISDN capability is added to the Network Magnifier data compressor that Chernikeef distributes for Compact Data Inc.
