NEW RELEASE OF LATTISNET MANAGER FOR UNIX FROM SYNOPTICS

By CBR Staff Writer

SynOptics Communications Inc the Santa Clara, California-based manufacturer of intelligent hubs, has a new release of its LattisNet Manager for Unix: LattisNet Manager manages all three access methods, Fibre Distributed Data Interface, Token Ring and Ethernet, from a single point of control, and it is based on SunNet Manager from SunConnect; LattisNet Manager runs under Unix and the company says that when distributed through an extended network, it enables data to be gathered and processed within the domain; LattisNet Manager 2.0 is $4,000 without SunNet Manager or $7,000 with SunNet Manager; both will be available sometime this quarter, and upgrades from earlier versions will also be available.
