NEW PRESIDENT AND COO FOR CRAY RESEARCH

John Rollwagen wants to step back and take a longer view of future directions at Cray Research Inc, and has created the new post of president and chief operating officer, appointing Bolivian-born Marcelo Gumucio, formerly executive vice-president of marketing, to run the company day to day: Rollwagen will also chair a four-man technical council on which company founder Seymour Cray will also serve.
