New Axway and Tenable Network Security offerings on Amazon Web Services Marketplace

New Axway services embrace the API economy with highly scalable and secure API management and Tenable offers Nessus vulnerability configuration, and patch assessment solutions.

By Claire Vanner

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has two new availabilities from Axway and Tenable Network Security.

Axway Enterprise API Management solution allows enterprises to leverage the power and scalability of the Axway API Gateway on AWS to manage, deliver, and secure their enterprise APIs.

Unlike other API Management offerings, Axway API Gateway saves customers money by overcoming the expense and inefficiencies of completely separate management of B2B, SOA, and APIs.

Terry Hanold, VP, Cloud Commerce, AWS, said: "AWS welcomes Axway to our ecosystem of technology vendors that help to enable customers to more easily gain the benefits of the cloud. Customers will be excited to combine the performance and scalability of the Axway API Gateway with the scalability of Amazon EC2. Our highly elastic, scalable and metered services complement the Axway API Gateway and offer."

Tenable also announced that AWS customers can now leverage Nessus to scan, audit, and monitor software vulnerabilities on all of their Amazon Machine Images (AMI).

Together, the collaboration between Tenable and AWS provides added security through unparalleled vulnerability, configuration and patch assessment- for enterprise customers looking to build, operate or maintain their applications in the AWS cloud.

Tenable’s Nessus vulnerability scanner provides customers with the ability to efficiently and effectively improve their protection efforts by securing the AMI virtual appliance throughout the software development, deployment and production lifecycle of development, staging and production.

"We use Tenable’s Nessus to secure our AMI before publishing to the AWS Marketplace," said Kartik Trivedi, CEO of Symosis Security. "AWS provides our company with a secure, scalable cloud infrastructure, but we needed to ensure that our AWS image is securely developed and maintained. Nessus provides us that peace of mind."
