US-based Smoothstone IP Communications and Masergy, an American network service provider, have announced a partnership combining Smoothstone's IP voice services and communications applications with Masergy's intelligent transport network services.

By CBR Staff Writer

Smoothstone and Masergy have directly interconnected their private networks to ensure optimal voice quality and security for their customers.

The alliance with Smoothstone is expected to give Masergy customers the ability to purchase local and long distance voice services in 8,000 domestic rate centers and a full suite of on demand business communications applications including hosted call center solution, disaster recovery call routing, voice recording, and interactive applications.

Jon Jorgl, chief development officer at Smoothstone, said: By layering our managed voice services and proprietary communications solutions of Smoothstone across Masergy’s global MPLS network, clients and prospects can now take advantage of Smoothstone’s applications.
