Pelephone selects Amdocs to launch new services for new network

Israel-based Pelephone Communications has selected Amdocs Service Delivery and Control solution to create, deliver and manage new services for its new Universal Mobile Telecommunications System network. Amdocs is a US-based provider of customer experience systems.

Pelephone currently uses the same solution on its CDMA network and will expand its use to provide better customer experience with the same kinds of services, user interface and self-care across both its networks.

Part of the Amdocs customer experience systems portfolio, Amdocs Service Delivery and Control is claimed to enables service providers to launch a number of services, such as ringback tones and personal greeting to its subscribers. The solution is claimed to support any network type and allows service providers to offer services to prepaid, postpaid and convergent subscribers.

Doron Kurtz, vice president of engineering and technology at Pelephone, said: The Amdocs solution provides the agility and cost-effectiveness we need to support our continued growth in the Israeli market and improve our customers’ experience. It’s an easy and cost effective way for us to compete and capture new revenue streams without passing costs on to our subscribers.
