Integra Telecom selects Hatteras Networks for mid-band ethernet rollout

Hatteras Networks, a provider of ethernet systems for enterprise access services and next-generation cell tower backhaul, has announced that Integra Telecom has selected the EtherFLEX HN4000 and HN400 family of mid-band ethernet systems to support its ethernet-over-copper deployment.

Hatteras Networks EtherFLEX solutions are expected to enable Integra to rollout a resilient Metro Ethernet service offering at speeds of five to 30Mbps to its business customers with initial deployments in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Boise, Idaho.

Integra is using HN4000’s dual GigE uplink options to ensure the error-free delivery of bandwidth delivered from the customer back to the network core.

Dudley Slater, CEO for Integra Telecom, said: We chose Hatteras Networks because of the unmatched resiliency, advanced feature set and maximum port density of its mid-band ethernet solutions. With ethernet solutions, supported by Hatteras’ EtherFLEX product line, we’ll quickly and cost-effectively enable existing and new customers to take advantage of high-bandwidth, highly reliable Internet access.
