Dexterra, Penta roll out mobile field reporting software

How can the construction firm workforce report from their job site?

By CBR Staff Writer

Dexterra, a provider of mobile workforce software, and Penta Technologies, a provider of enterprise software for the engineering and construction industries, have rolled out Penta’s mobile field reporting software that lets construction firms record and transmit labour, equipment and production data instantly and directly from the job site.

Dexterra has said that Penta mobile construction software applications, including field reporting and field service, were built using its Concert mobile development platform.

Dexterra also provided Penta access to training, tools, mentoring and documentation through its partner enablement, giving Penta the materials and support needed to build its own software using the Concert platform.

Penta’s new mobile software, built using the Dexterra Concert mobile development platform, is expected to help workers submit information quicker, in hours instead of the days required with previous systems.

According to Dexterra, Penta selected its Concert mobility platform to build its mobile field software because of its flexible development capabilities and the ability to extend its existing office-based applications to the mobile worker, regardless of device type.

Cam Smith, vice president of development for Penta Technologies, said: Penta Mobile Field Reporting software helps the contractors’ field and the office staff to work in unison and more efficiently by removing costly, redundant administrative efforts from planning, scheduling, capturing, reviewing, approving and reporting on work performed in the field.
