CSL Limited and Research In Motion have launched the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 smartphone in Hong Kong.
According to Research In Motion (RIM), the new product is the first BlackBerry smartphone to come in a clamshell format.
The features of this new smartphone include: quadband GPRS and EDGE network support for international roaming; smart dialing, conference calling, speed dialing, call forwarding, voicemail attachment playback and enhanced background noise cancellation; support for MP3 ring tones; QWERTY-based SureType keyboard; preloaded DataViz Documents to Go software suite for editing Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files directly on the smartphone; and a two mega-pixel camera with flash, zoom and video recording.
