Adtran launches network management platform

Adtran, a supplier of voice and data networking services, has launched n-Command MSP, a network management platform for remote monitoring and management of Adtran NetVanta or Total Access converged networking services.

By CBR Staff Writer

According to the company, the web-based platform simplifies new device deployment and enables managed service providers (MSPs), service providers and enterprise IT organizations to deliver on service level agreements (SLAs), improve customer service response times, reduce network downtimes and proactively monitor and report the performance of VoIP networks, all while reducing operational costs.

The company has said that the Adtran n-command MSP platform offers a browser-based graphical user interface (GUI) and management dashboard. These tools allow for point-and-click operations for monitoring and management of Adtran network solutions.

In addition to a user friendly GUI and VoIP management capabilities, the n-Command MSP system has been designed to be firewall friendly. Adtran’s Auto Link feature enables each remote device to initiate pre-scheduled communication back to the n-Command MSP server. This facilitates communication across existing firewalls and ensures networks remain secure, added Adtran.

Tim Saunders, vice president of product management for enterprise networks division at Adtran, said: The n-Command MSP platform not only offers a wealth of operational benefits, but also allows for the creation of new business opportunities for our value added resellers. These partners can now leverage the widely deployed base of NetVanta and Total Access converged networking solutions, as a means to offer enhanced services, and increase recurring revenue, all without additional headcount.
