NETWORK EQUIPMENT TECHNOLOGIES HAS AGREEMENT WITH DOELZ NETWORKS

By CBR Staff Writer

First steps to a complete merger? Network Equipment Technologies Inc of Redwood City, California, and Doelz Networks Inc of Irvine, California, have agreed in principle on joint marketing to each other’s accounts, integration of their respective network management systems and co-operative development of future products: the companies see the combination of Doelz’ data communications networking expertise and Esprit One and Elite One network products with Network Equipment’s Integrated Digital Network Exchange transmission resource manager as providing the most comprehensive voice and data networking solution available; each will be responsible for servicing and supporting its own equipment at current sites with back-up from the other, but at future joint sites at a customer’s request, one company will be assigned responsibility to co-ordinate the support resources of both organisations as necessary.
