Network Equipment Technologies Inc has added new PrimeVoice ISDN software capabilities designed to provide seamless worldwide feature transparency, interoperability and the potential for lower costs for PABX networking using the NET.IDNX multiservice backbone. The PrimeVoice software incorporates ISDN signaling standards in a single release and also offers Class of Service, Call Detail Recording and fast call set-up capabilities to reduce long-distance charges for PABX networks. There is support for the European Computer Manufacturers Association and European Telecommunications Standards Institute QSIG variants of the Q.931 standard, and the North American AT&T 4ESS Custom to cover the major global variants of ISDN supported by the IDNX . Network managers can customize Class of Service features on PABXs based on the origination or destination of the call. This enables network managers to specify call priority, speech compression type, routing requirements and echo cancellation configuration on a call-by-call basis. PrimeVoice ISDN also provides Call Detail Recording to create call records to bill individual departments, divisions or organizations. PrimeVoice ISDN is available now for $9,900, which includes license fees for th e eight-port module, or $7,700 with license fees for the four-port module.
