NETWIZ UPGRADES 20-SLOT TURBOSWITCH 2000 HUB

Haifa, Israel-based Netwiz Ltd has upgraded its 20 slot TurboSwitch 2000 hub, increasing switching throughput to 22.24 Gbps, and adding support for LANs, VLANs, hardware based IP routing, and fault tolerance. With a free software upgrade the Turboswitch 2000 is capable of level 2 or level 3 IP switching, at 10 million packets per second across Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, and Giga Ethernet, says the company. The modular hub can accept a range of components, Giga Ethernet products will be available in the second half of the year, all other products are shipping. The Four port Fast Ethernet switch module is priced at $3200.
