NETSCAPE SAYS BULL WAS SHOPPING FOR NET SECURITY

Trying hard to downplay the arrangement to keep its other firewall partners happy, Netscape Communications Corp says there’s nothing special about the Compagnie des Machines Bull SA SecurWall software it’s price-listing (CI No3,499). Although Bull is using Netscape technology to enhance the firewall – which both companies are to sell – Netscape says it was essentially Bull that came shopping for security technology, though it admits some customers had been asking for it to price list a firewall for them.
